POLTERGEIST unterschreiben weltweiten Deal bei PURE STEEL RECORDS

Die aus Liestal (Schweiz) stammenden Thrash Band POLTERGEIST  haben einen weltweiten Deal bei PURE STEEL RECORDS unterschrieben.  Die seit den 80er Jahren aktive Band (Depression, Behind My Mask, Nothing Lasts Forever), wird nach 22 Jahren ihr neues Album "Back To Haunt" über PURE STEEL RECORDS veröffentlichen. Über 20 Jahre lang wurden die Geister beschwo?rt, nun sind sie zuru?ck!
Die Schweizer Kult- Thrasher POLTERGEIST haben für ihr neues Album ‚BACK TO HAUNT’ bei Pure Steel Records unterschrieben.
Poltergeist: „Wir sind überzeugt, dass Pure Steel Records genau der richtige Partner für die Veröffentlichung unseres neuen Albums ist. Echten Metal der alten Schule verstehen nur wenige Labels so wie Pure Steel Records!“
Die Band veröffentlichte ursprünglich drei Alben zwischen 1989 und 1993 bevor sie sich auflösten.
Ende 2013 kam dann die Reunion , gefolgt von magischen Shows u.a. am 70'000 Tons Of Metal Cruise und den Metal Assault und Headbangers Open Air Festivals.

Mit neuem Partner SPV im Rücken ist „Hope Is Here“ das erste Konzeptalbum der Band.
„Ein Konzept haben wir bislang noch nie angefasst und es hat uns ziemlich herausgefordert, aber als Rob anfing die Story zu schreiben und sich darin komplett vergraben hat, gab es irgendwann einfach kein Zurück mehr“, erklärt Gitarrist Oliver Nikolas. „Wenn man ein Konzept hat, dann muss man es ähnlich aufbauen wie einen Film, man muss gewissen Stimmungen folgen und genau überlegen, wo man die schnelleren, härteren Stücke und wo die langsameren und eher traurigen Momente einbaut“, fährt der Bandgründer fort.
Drei Jahre hat sich die Band Zeit gelassen. Das hört man: „Nie haben wir härter, nie besser als Einheit zusammengearbeitet“, so Oliver. In der Vergangenheit fanden Songwriting-Sessions in den eigenen vier Wänden und in kompakten Zeiträumen im Proberaum statt. An „Hope Is Here“ wurde mit Unterbrechungen drei Monate lang in den ´The Engine Studios` an der Vorproduktion gefeilt, was dem Material die Möglichkeit gab, Form anzunehmen – die Visionen konnten sich frei entfalten. „Eine der Herausforderungen, die wir uns selbst gesetzt hatten war, dass jede einzelne Note die Leute so hart wie nur irgend möglich treffen sollte, unausweichlich“, so Oliver Nikolas. „Jetzt haben wir endlich das Gefühl, dass wir das nächste Level erreicht haben“. Am Mittwoch, 17. August feiern Lacrimas Profundere ihr erstes Release Konzert zum Konzeptalbum „Hope Is Here“ in München, Backstage.
Die Band wir unterstützt von zahlreichen Special Guests wie Jürgen Plangger (Eisbrecher, a life divided), außerdem haben die Jungs nur für diesen außergewöhnlichen Gig ihren ehemaligen Sänger Christopher überreden können die erstklassige Show in Helsinki von vor 2 Jahren zu wiederholen. Also auch Christopher ist mit von der Partie. Desweiteren werden Songs des neuen Albums dort zum ersten Mal live präsentiert und das über zweistündige Konzert mit verschiedenen Akustik Sets überraschen.

Video Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9RwuXvGXGk With their new partner SPV behind them the band’s first concept album has been released under the title “Hope Is Here”. “We’ve never done a concept before and it was quite a challenge, but once Rob started writing the story and got totally buried in it, there was simply no going back,” explains guitarist Oliver Nikolas. “When you’ve got a concept you have to arrange it like a film, you have to follow certain moods and really think about where to put the faster, harder pieces and where the slower and sadder moments best fit in,” continues the band’s founder. The band allowed themselves three years, and the final result reflects this: “We’ve never worked together so hard and so well as a unit,” explains Oliver. In the past we’ve worked separately on the songwriting, practicing in short stints in the rehearsal room. Monument is the sophomore album by Turkish death metal squad, CARNOPHAGE, and advancing the album's September release via Unique Leader Records, the band hurtles a new single into the masses early.

CARNOPHAGE's new "Resistance Against Mind Clouding Heresy" track comes hammering forth through an exclusive premiere at reliable metal portal No Clean Singing, the blog offering, "The song hammers like a pile-driver, and the vocals are convincingly gruesome and barbaric, but the guitar work is so intricate and inventive that the music is also capable of twisting your neurons into new configurations and setting off fireworks behind your eyes. Monument was recorded by Unsal Ozata at Studio Deep (Burial Invocation, Cenotaph, Decaying Purity, Inhuman Depravity etc.), mixed and mastered by Sasha Borovykh at TsunTsun Productions (Cerebral Effusion, Soils Of Fate, Epicardiectomy, Fleshbomb etc.), and comes adorned in the tormented, Baroque-era influenced cover art of Cihan Engin. Boasting an inexorable assault of jackhammering blasts, churning riffs, and inhuman death grunts, Monument is true exercise in controlled chaos and, following an eight-year dormancy, finds the band at the peak of their methodical and unapologetically diabolical ingenuity.

CARNOPHAGE was formed in early 2006 and released their debut Deformed Future/Genetic Nightmare in 2008 through Unique Leader Records. The band played numerous shows in support of the record before going on unofficial hiatus. They reunited in 2014 with an updated lineup of bassist Bengi Öztürk, drummer Onur Özçelik (Black Omen), guitarists Mert Kaya and Serhat Kaya (ex Cenotaph), and vocalist Oral Akyol (Cidesphere) and are ready to rumble infrastructures globally with the subterranean sounds of Monument.

SABATON - present new guitarist

Swedish heavy metal heroes, SABATON, closed the release weekend of their new record entitled »The Last Stand«, successfully at their own festival, Sabaton Open Air. They not only had to say goodbye to their guitarist Thobbe Englund, but they also welcomed their new member Tommy Johansson. The band commented: "Thank you Thobbe, welcome Tommy! Our guitarplayer Thobbe did his final concert with us on last Saturday's very emotional show at the Sabaton Open Air festival. Celebrating the release of our new album while saying goodbye to a great friend is lots of mixed feelings. But the future is bright since this was not nearly our last stand, from now on you will see Tommy Johansson playing guitars with SABATON and we all look forward to see you on the road!" Although, they did ask me already back in 2012 but for many personal reasons it was not a good time for me to hit the road and give everything that was needed to the band. Die schwedischen Heavy Metal-Helden SABATON haben das Release-Wochenende ihres neues Werks »The Last Stand« vergangenen Samstag mit einem grandiosen Auftritt beim bandeigenen Sabaton Open Air würdig abgeschlossen. Dabei wurde gleichzeitig Gitarrist Thobbe Englund verabschiedet und Neumitglied Tommy Johansson den Fans präsentiert. Die Band kommentiert: „Mach's gut, Thobbe! Willkommen, Tommy! Unser Gitarrist Thobbe hat am Samstag bei einer emotionalen Show beim Sabaton Open Air seinen letzten Auftritt bestritten. Gleichzeitig die Albumveröffentlichung zu feiern und einen großartigen Freund zu verabschieden, rief etwas gemischte Gefühle hervor. Doch die Zukunft wartet, dies war nicht unser letztes Gefecht. Ab sofort wird Tommy Johansson bei SABATON als Gitarrist tätig sein. Wir freuen uns, Euch alle auf Tour zu sehen!“ Tommy fügt hinzu: „Ein Teil von SABATON zu sein, ist eine große Ehre für mich, ich könnte nicht glücklicher darüber sein! Die Jungs sind der Hammer und gehören zu den nettesten Leuten, die man treffen kann. Ich verfolgte SABATON seit 2005 als ich sie zum ersten Mal live sah und seitdem habe ich sie geliebt. Als sie also gefragt haben, gab es kein Zögern. Ich wurde bereits 2012 gefragt, aus diversen persönlichen Gründen war es mir jedoch nicht möglich, auf Tour zu gehen und alles aufzubringen, was es für die Band bedarf. So lehnte ich ab, wir sind aber in Kontakt geblieben. Zudem möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen, dass Thobbe ein klasse Gitarrist und ein wunderbarer Kerl ist! Ihn zu ersetzen, ist nicht meine Aufgabe. Ich trage mit meiner Art des Gitarrenspiels meinen Teil zur Band bei, möchte aber auch seine Fans zufriedenstellen, indem ich seine wundervollen Soli mit Stolz spiele. »Brotherhood Of The Snake«-Cover enthüllt!

Die legendären Bay-Area-Thrash-Giganten TESTAMENT haben das Cover ihres kommenden, zwölften Albums, »The Brotherhood Of The Snake«, das am 28. Oktober über Nuclear Blast erscheinen wird, enthüllt.

Das ausdrucksstarke Cover wurde vom renommierten Künstler Eliran Kantor kreiert, der auch für das Artwork des letzten TESTAMENT-Albums, »The Dark Roots Of Earth«, schuf und in der Vergangenheit außerdem für Bands wie HATEBREED, SOULFLY oder KATAKLYSM arbeitete.

Das Album wurde unter der Ägide von Produzent Juan Urteaga (EXODUS, HEATHEN, MACHINE HEAD), Gitarrist Eric Peterson und Sänger Chuck Billy aufgenommen und vom renommierten Metal-Produzenten Andy Sneap (ACCEPT, ARCH ENEMY, CRADLE OF FILTH, KREATOR, MACHINE HEAD, MEGADETH) gemischt und gemastert.

Peterson dazu einem Interview mit Metal Maniac: "It's very diverse, but it's very epic. There's nothing on there that breeds commercial. And I think for thirty years of recording music and trying different formulas and stuff, I think we've found a formula that is very metal. I think for the metal fan that is looking for something for the nook and crannies… not just your normal, 'Oh, it's got a thrash beat and a riff.' There's a lot going on here." 

In einem weiteren Interview mit Metal Forces führte der Songwriter außerdem aus: "It's different. This one is more thrash. I mean, this has got some of the fastest stuff that we have ever played. Usually, we have one or two thrash songs, and then we have some mid-tempo, and then we have a slow, heavy one, and then up-tempo kind of stuff. Half of the new record is thrash, which we've never done before." 

Er fügt hinzu: "It's kind of like »Demonic« and »The Gathering«, but a little bit wiser, I think. Chuck's not singing so death. I mean, he does some death stuff but he's singing more like he did on the last record and then with the craziness of »The Gathering« or even heavy stuff like »Demonic«."

14.10. DARKTHRONE – "Arctic Thunder" (Peaceville/Edel)

Norwegian duo, Darkthrone, return with their first new studio material since 2013’s triumphant The Underground Resistance; the album becoming the band’s most successful release in recent years. Darkthrone’s new album Arctic Thunder, is due for release on 14th October through Peaceville.

A new heavy metal odyssey now awaits fans as Fenriz and Nocturno Culto once more show their mastery of “the riff”, demonstrating why Darkthrone remain one of the most respected and enduring acts in the history of extreme metal.

An eclectic mix of free-spirited 80’s fuelled blackened heavy metal, all executed in Darkthrone's trademark raw and organic style, Arctic Thunder was recorded & produced by the band themselves, with the sessions conducted at Darkthrone’s old rehearsal unit, "The Bomb Shelter", which they had originally used during 1988-1990.

With themes based around hate, contempt, and the inner mind & soul, and with the notable presence of Nocturno Culto on vocal duties across all songs for the first time in recent years, Arctic Thunder retains a grim atmosphere throughout the album's 8 tracks, with mastering once again handled by Jack Control at Enormous Door.

Die ‘Godfathers Of Death Metal’ werden 2017 ihr neues Album veröffentlichen

Morbid Angel, die in  Tampa, Florida ansässigen Death Metal Legenden, sind stolz verkünden zu können, dass sie bei UDR unterschrieben haben. Der Deal ist weltweilt ( ex Japan). Gründer und Gitarrenhero Trey Azagthoth und zurückgekehrtes Langzeitmitglied bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, sind sehr glücklich darüber mit Leuten zu arbeiten, die Ahnung von Metal haben und man ist sich sicher, dass die Band den Status als größte Death Metal Band der Welt erhalten wird.

TREES OF ETERNITY VERÖFFENTLICHEN AM 11. NOVEMBER IHR DEBÜT R OF THE NIGHTINGALE",

Am 11. November veröffentlichen Trees of Eternity ihr Debütalbum "Hour Of The Nightingale" bei Svart Records. Die Umstände bei der Entstehung des Albums als tragisch zu bezeichnen, ist fast noch eine Untertreibung, denn Sängerin Aleah Stanbridge starb überraschend im April dieses Jahres. Juha Raivio (Swallow The Sun), der auch der Lebensgefährte der verstorbenen Sängerin war, hat dazu einige sehr bewegende Worte verfasst, die sicherlich jedem sehr nahe gehen werden.

Dear friends. Today is the day we can start to celebrate the music, lyrics and life of our beautiful Queen who so tragically and suddenly crossed the bridge of stars and left this world so young and so soon... So with tears in my eyes but my heart pounding with a proud, victorious beat I can finally tell you that our long awaited album "Hour of the Nightingale" will be released worldwide on November 11th through Svart  Records and pre-orders start August 29th.

Here is the first single from the album, "Broken Mirror", with a
beautiful and very touching lyric video Vesa Ranta made for the song.

There really are no words to describe the ultimate weight of the darkness, or the rays of the brightest of light that this album holds within its
songs and lyrics. In so many ways this album turned out to be the most important album I´ve done in my life, and we both loved it from the first note to the last as we wrote it.

About Aleah... I have never met a person and a musician more connected to the very core of the absolute emotion and the soul of each note and every word she wrote or sang. She wanted her music and lyrics to be 110% honest and truthful, absolutely nothing less would do. Music was her religion and passion, a gateway to her soul and beyond. There will never
be another songwriter or voice like hers that can turn the day into thedarkest of night, or turn the darkness into blinding light with just one word or a whisper.

We were very proud to record "Hour of the Nightingale" together with our friends, band mates and amazing musicians, Kai Hahto, Mattias and Fredrik Norrman who all played their hearts out on this album. And working with
another good friend Jens Bogren producing, recording, mixing and mastering the album were were ready to take this music to the world and play it to you all. Sadly that never happened... But this is the point where we can
finally start this long journey and celebrate our Queen and singer Aleah Starbridge whose words and music will live forever on.

My heart is truly black and broken after the tragic loss of Aleah, but  every
time hearing her voice in these songs something pierces through the darkness like an flaming arrow. I hope this album will do the same to you nomatter what might be shadowing your own path and bring you some solace and peace.

I want to thank you all for showing so much love towards Aleah after her sudden passing. My friends, this is where her legacy starts, through the voice of an angel at this hour of the nightingale. Bless you all.

Dennoch fanden sie drei großartige neue Musiker, welche die gleiche Leidenschaft teilten, Songs zu schreiben, die sowohl Heavy als auch anspruchsvoll für Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug waren. Textlich beeinflusst von Themen wie Horror, Religion und Dunkelheit, werden hin und wieder parallelen zu Bands wie King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Helstar und Heathendom aufgezeigt. Dennoch bieten sie einen eigenen, großartigen Sound.
Dieses Album beinhaltet alles, was ein düsteres, anspruchsvolles Metal-Album bieten kann.

HYPNOS unterschreibt wieder bei EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN

Die tschechischen Death Metaller HYPNOS haben für ihren fünften Longplayer “THE WHITECROW” einen neuen Vertrag bei EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN unterzeichnet. Der Nachfolger des “HERETIC COMMANDO” Albums von 2012 wurde wieder mit dem norwegischen Produzent Børge Finstad aufgenommen, der durch seine Arbeit mit  MAYHEM, ARCTURUS und BORKNAGAR bekannt wurde. Gemischt wurden die Aufnahmen in seinem TOPROOM STUDIO. Das längste Album der Bandgeschichte enthält einige spezielle Gäste wie z.B. Christopher (Krabathor), Paul Speckmann (Master), V. Santura (Dark Fortress, Triptykon) oder Martin Missy (Protector). Als Veröffentlichungsdatum ist der 25. März 2017 geplant. Das Album wird  als  CD, Ltd. Digi-CD+DVD, Vinyl & Digital veröffentlicht.

Czech based death metallers HYPNOS have inked a new deal with EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN for their fifth full-length album entitled “THE WHITECROW”. The successor to the “HERETIC COMMANDO” album from 2012 was again recorded with Norwegian producer Børge Finstad, known for his previous works with MAYHEM, ARCTURUS or BORKNAGAR, and mixed in his TOPROOM STUDIO. The longest record in the band´s history so far features appearances of several special guests as for example Christopher (Krabathor), Paul Speckmann (Master), V. Santura (Dark Fortress, Triptykon) or Martin Missy (Protector). Release date is scheduled for March 25^th 2017 as CD, Ltd. Digi-CD+DVD, Vinyl & Digital.

ANGERHEAD, have signed with VIOLENT CREEK Records

San Jose, California rising stars ANGERHEAD, have signed with VIOLENT CREEK Records (Germany) for the release of their debut full length album "Fueled By Rage" to be released towards the end of 2016 on cd, vinyl and digital formats.

The album will combine all 3 of their previously released eps (Angerhead, Headful of Hate and Fueled by Rage) in one package for a ferocious metallic onslaught of west coast metal, thrash, punk and hardcore music.

Biography:

ANGERHEAD is a San Jose, California based band that was started in February 2011 by Guitarist Eric Beard (Dr.Chunk, Xzanthus) and Vocalist Paul Hastey (Plaster), who expertly blend elements of Bay Area Thrash, Metal, Punk and Hardcore into the music they write.The band is rounded out by Bassist Jim Pegram (Mudface, Imagika, Skinner) and drummer David O'Neal (Stormy Strong).

In a short amount of time, Angerhead have created a major buzz within the Bay Area Thrash scene that they grew playing in. In the first few years, they have garnered lots of attention by sharing the stages with Suicidal Tendencies, Soulfly, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Forbidden, DRI, Quiet Riot, Static X, Kittie and many more hard hitting musical acts. Local metal promoters love having Angerhead on bigger bills, as they feel the band can bring all types of fans of heavy music together.

In 2013, Angerhead went in the studio and recorded a 3 song EP, which featured the title track "Angerhead" with Paul sharing vocal duties with Steve "Zetro" Souza (Exodus, Hatriot).

In 2014, they entered the studio once again, this time with Juan Urteaga (Machine Head, Testament) and recorded the "Headful of Hate" 4 song Ep which has gained the bands even more fans.

Both EP's are highly sought after items and have sold very well at shows and online.

Angerhead also released their very first video with Mike Sloat (Machine Head, Testament) for the punishing song "Destroy The Trend".

2016 sees the band releasing their new new 5 song "Fueled by Rage" EP, once again with Juan Urteaga at the helm for another punishing lesson in old school metal indoctrination.
